Seward, AK

Located just a 2.5 hour drive (127 miles) south of Anchorage, Seward is a bustling summer community with breathtaking panoramic views ranging from snow-capped mountains to the pristine waters of Resurrection Bay. The Alaska Railroad is another great way to travel to and from Seward. They arrive in Seward just in time to catch the morning breeze for a memorable sail.

 

Visitors will find plenty to do while in Seward. Discover Alaskan wildlife on display at the Alaska SeaLife Center, take in Resurrection Bay as you walk along the boardwalk, and enjoy the work of local artists as you browse shops and art galleries downtown. If you’re looking for an active adventure, hike one of the trails leading up Mt. Marathon for expansive views of the town and far beyond or enjoy the Caines Head Trail and State Recreation Area. Just a short drive from downtown, visitors can access Exit Glacier and the Harding Ice field. There’s something for everyone!
